The Greek Oil Business Area and in particular its retail sector incorporates nearly 20 commercial companies. Half of them are the most important ones and Aegean Oil is incorporated. Aegean Oil is a purely Greek Company, with private owned offices in Piraeus, at 42 Hatzikiriakou str.
AEGEAN is the most reliable and dynamically expanding company in the Greek Petroleum Area.
Aegean’s activities, in the field, started 15 years ago, and since then the Company gained a prominent position worldwide, mainly in the field of bunkering and shipping of Marine fuels.
Aegean’s Retail Fuel Business activities began in 2000 and grew up since then, up to more than 550 gas-stations in the whole Greek area.
The Company owns modern high standards Terminal Sites. One of them in Northern Greece and specifically in Alexandroupolis (Thrace-Greece) supplies the customers of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. The specific site gives access to vessels, trains and trucks.
Regarding the Southern part of Greece, Aegean’s customers are supplied from the Terminal Site of Aspropyrgos (Attica-Greece), which is owned by an affiliate company named MELCO OIL, and has direct pipeline connections with Aspropyrgos ELPE Refinery and gives also access to vessels, trucks.
Further to the aforementioned supply points, Aegean has offices and delivers fuels through the Hellenic Petroleum Refinery Sites, in Aspropyrgos , Thessaloniki and Elefsina, whereas also from the Refinery Site of Motor Oil Hellas in Agii Theodori, Corinth.
Fuels distribution and delivery is done through a twenty-five (25) Fuel Trucks Private Owned Fleet, having the latest Truck Specifications, which is enhanced by contracted or hired Public Truck Vehicles, according to the local market needs.
Aegean climbed to the 4th place, of the retail oil market, due to its rapid gas-stations network expansion which has been supported by the following pillars:

The main and long-lasting objective of the Company, which outlines its “strong link” with the customers, is the supply of High Quality Products and Services, whereas its competitive prices, fortify its Commercial Policy to the Local Market.
In its effort to eliminate any possibility of interference on the quality of the delivered fuels, further to other measures, Aegean has established a process of surveying and sampling its gas-stations, via a mobile quality control laboratory in Van, staffed with competent and well trained quality control personnel. This process aims at the control of the basic specs of the fuel in order to secure its quality in terms of accidental or deliberate contamination, human error or not.
A full product slate of lubricants completes the series of the high quality products that Aegean supplies to the market, since 2008. Aegean’s lubricants series consists of edge-of-technology products in the field of mineral and synthetic lubricants, designed to cover all the needs for every application required. Furthermore, the strategic alliance between Aegean and TEXACO , still valid and under exclusivity, allows AEGEAN to provide the worldwide renowned TEXACO lubricants through its gas-stations network.
The “secret” of success regarding the gas-stations network expansion, is triggered by the Human-Related Policy of the company which reinforces the relationships between the Company and its partners. Further to that, the Distinct Corporate Identity is visualized through the advanced design of the gas-stations, where colors, layout and equipment selection has its own reasoning behind. One of the basic concerns of AEGEAN OIL is the preservation of the fine and superior look of its gas-stations throughout the whole period of partnership with the gas-station owners, which by the adapted EU-Law cannot exceed the time of five years, and can be evidenced either verbally or in written form.
Besides the Retail Sector, Aegean has marketing and sales activities in the industrial and construction sector, as well as, hospitals, public organizations etc.
In terms of accredited Management Systems in place, Aegean holds both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates regarding Quality and Environmental Management, respectively.
