Under the context of its main target to provide high-quality products to its customers, and to eliminate any possibility of interference on the quality of the delivered fuels, AEGEAN has established, since its first steps in the retail market, comprehensive quality control procedures. Besides the other measures and methodologies for fuels quality control, the Company operates a mobile fuels quality control laboratory fitted in a Van, which main purpose is to sample fuels, from its gas-stations network, in order to analyze and check fuels basic properties and verify that no contamination has taken place.

The aforementioned fuels quality controls are performed on site, by competent staff that visits, on random and without any warning, Aegean’s network   gas-stations, in order to secure the quality of the delivered product. After the sampling and the analysis of the fuel, and providing that the quality of the product is within the expected and approved limits, the Gas-Station owner is given a Fuel Quality Check Certification, that verifies the certain inspection.

In the case that the sample fails to pass the Quality Control Check, the first step is to replace the out-of-specs product and further to that a scrutinizing root-cause analysis is performed in order to disclose the reasons and the responsibilities for the non-conformity. The basic scope is to improve the system in terms of quality assurance and further to that, to take all the required measures in order to prevent similar reoccurrence and securing by this way the reputation of the Company.
